I was born and raised until my teen years in Southern California (an original Valley Girl). The next few years were spent in Seattle and then Minneapolis, where I attended the University of Minnesota. I returned to Southern California to continue my education, met and married my husband and began raising our family of two boys and two girls. Wanting to give our children a chance to experience their father's culture, we emigrated to and lived in Tel Aviv, Israel from the beginning of 1993 until the end of 1999. Upon our return to the United Stated we were impressed with what we saw on a visit to Las Vegas and made the decision to settle in the Las Vegas Valley.
I have always enjoyed working with people and always strove to hold positions where I had contact with the public. I had received my real estate license and worked as a Realtor for a few years in Southern California before the move to Israel. After working a few years in the Conventions area in two major Las Vegas hotels, I found that I missed real estate.
In 2004 I returned to school and received my Real Estate license. Just having a license does not qualify a person to be a Real Estate Professional. I have worked continuously to be worthy of calling myself a professional. In addition to taking the required continuing educational courses and any other courses that I felt necessary to better serve my clients, I have taken additional courses of study and earned the following designations:
ABR - Accredited Buyers Representative
GRI - Graduate Realtor Institute
RRG - Risk Reduction Graduate
CDPE - Certified Distressed Property Expert
I have completed the Real Estate Negotiator Certification.
I continue to take courses relevant to today's changing market so that I am better able to provide the best possible service to my clients. The short sale and foreclosure markets have been a learning process for both the seller (bank) and the buyer and procedures are continiously evolving. I attend many classes to get updates on current changes the banks are making in the handling of the process on their end to help my clients be more successful in closing on these properties.
